Chicken Road difficulty levels: every lane multiplier, the RTP behind them, and a lane odds calculator

Four difficulties, 81 lanes between them, and a multiplier printed on every one. This page has all of them as they sit in the provider's own demo at 98% RTP, the 97% and 92% tables a casino may run instead, and a calculator that turns any lane into a chance, a payout and an average return. Use it to see what a $5 stake is really doing on lane nine of Hard.

Multipliers come from the 98%, 97% and 92% tables inside the official InOut demo (29 September 2026), so they change with the RTP you pick. The chance is RTP divided by the multiplier: a reading of the pay table, not a prediction, and the same average return applies whichever lane you pick.

The four tables at 98% RTP

Lane multipliers as they sit in the provider's demo, read from its code on 29 September 2026. "Reach" is the modelled chance of getting to that lane: 0.98 divided by the multiplier.

The 97% and 92% tables

The demo's code holds three complete sets, keyed by RTP. The provider's page says 98%, and that's what the demo runs, but a casino can configure the other two and nothing on screen changes except the numbers. The first three lanes and the far kerb of each, so you can identify a table in seconds:

First three lanes and the far kerb of each difficulty at 98%, 97% and 92% RTP
RTPEasy 1–3Easy farMedium 1–3Medium farHard 1–3Hard farHardcore 1–3Hardcore far
98%1.03 · 1.07 · 1.1219.44×1.12 · 1.28 · 1.471,788.80×1.23 · 1.55 · 1.9841,321.43×1.63 · 2.8 · 4.952,542,251.93×
97%1.03 · 1.07 · 1.1219.24×1.12 · 1.28 · 1.461,770.55×1.23 · 1.55 · 1.9740,899.78×1.61 · 2.77 · 4.92,516,310.58×
92%0.95 · 1 · 1.0423.00×1.04 · 1.19 · 1.372,116.00×1.15 · 1.45 · 1.8548,879.60×1.53 · 2.62 · 4.653,007,259.20×

Notice how the 92% table is shaped: the early lanes pay less (Easy's first lane pays 0.95×, below your stake; Medium's 1.04× against 1.12×), while the far kerb pays more than on the 98% table. The extra at the far end doesn't make up for the rest. A single multiplier never tells you the RTP; the whole table does, and reading the first three lanes is enough to name it.

Reading a table

Three things fall out of the numbers once they're in front of you.

The ratio between lanes is the collision chance. On Medium, lane one pays 1.12× and lane two 1.28×; 1.12 ÷ 1.28 is 0.875, so the modelled chance of surviving lane two, having reached it, is 87.5%, and the chance of a hit is 12.5%. On Hardcore, 1.63 ÷ 2.80 gives 58%: a 42% hit rate on every step. The road gets no safer as you go; on most levels it gets slightly worse.

The far lanes are theoretical at normal stakes. Hardcore's lane 15 pays 2,542,251.93×. The demo caps a round's win at US$10,000, so anything above a US$0.004 stake is capped there, and the modelled chance of arriving is one in 2.6 million. The tables are honest about what they'd pay; the cap and the odds are why nobody collects it.

Same return, different variance. Cashing out on Easy lane one (1.03×, 95% reach) and on Hardcore lane six (30.12×, 3.3% reach) both return $0.98 per dollar over time. One loses a little often; the other loses everything almost always and pays 30× when it doesn't. Which is better is a question about you, not about the table, and the cash-out page is where that's worked through.

Pros

  • Every multiplier is fixed and visible; nothing is drawn from a hat mid-round
  • The same average return on every lane means no level is a trap, only a different ride

Cons

  • The graphics are identical across the 98%, 97% and 92% tables, so you have to read numbers to know which you're on
  • The demo's US$10,000 max win makes the top of Hard and Hardcore theoretical at any normal stake

My verdict

Pick the level by how you want the session to feel, not by what it pays, because it all pays the same. Easy and a far lane is a long grind with a 5% shot at 19×; Hardcore and lane one is a coin flip weighted 60/40 that pays 1.63×. Set the calculator to your stake and your lane, read the chance, and ask whether you'd be fine losing that stake that often. If not, the lane is too far.

Questions people ask

What are the Chicken Road multipliers?
They depend on difficulty and on the RTP the casino set. At 98%, Easy runs from 1.03× on lane one to 19.44× on lane 24; Medium from 1.12× to 1,788.80×; Hard from 1.23× to 41,321.43×; Hardcore from 1.63× to 2,542,251.93×. The full tables are on this page.
What is the x1000 in Chicken Road?
A multiplier of 1,000× or more exists only deep in three tables at 98% RTP: Medium from lane 22 (1,788.80×), Hard from lane 17 and Hardcore from lane 11. The modelled chance of reaching lane 22 on Medium is about 0.055%, or one round in 1,800.
Which difficulty has the best RTP?
They're the same. RTP is a property of the whole table, and at 98% every lane on every level returns $0.98 per $1 on average. Difficulty changes variance: how often you're paid and how much.
How is the chance of reaching a lane calculated?
RTP divided by the lane's multiplier. On Medium at 98%, lane six pays 2.33×, so the modelled chance of getting there is 0.98 ÷ 2.33, about 42%. The provider doesn't publish per-lane odds; this is what a fair pay table implies.
Can the casino change the multipliers?
It can choose between the tables the game ships with (98%, 97% and 92%), and it sets bet limits and max win. It can't change values inside a table or mid-round; the provably fair scheme commits the round before you play.
